Described by Eugene Rousseau as, “a talented saxophonist," Jason T. Laczkoski is an emerging voice in saxophone. He has presented numerous solo and chamber recitals as well as master classes and clinics throughout the United States.
An advocate of new music, Jason is constantly seeking out composers who write both intellectual and beautiful music. London based composer Ian Stewart has recently completed a duet for Jason, featuring the saxophone with violin and an electronic piece focusing on the coal industry. Composers Baljinder Sekhon, Sy Brandon, and John Griffin have also recently completed works for Jason.
Jason teaches at Valley City State University in Valley City, North Dakota where his duties include woodwind lessons, the music history sequence, and directing the VCSU jazz ensemble, The Barnes County Landmark.
Jason is both a Yamaha Performing Artist and E. Rousseau Mouthpiece Artist and plays on these brands exclusively.
